Undertaker comments on his WWE WrestleMania 40 appearance

Undertaker is arguably one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. His last singles match was against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. Undertaker was kinda unhappy that his last match was not in front of fans.

Undertaker made a shocking appearance at WrestleMania 40, and helped Cody Rhodes win Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

Undertaker recently on his Six Feet Under podcast, talked about his WrestleMania 40 appearance. Undertaker says WrestleMania 40 appearance gave closure to his wrestling aspect of his career.

”Something happened this weekend, and I’ve been struggling with it since I retired, but this weekend gave me closure. Wow, it really did. It was fun, obviously. Doing this for as long as I have and being involved in that storyline, it was important. But when it was over and I’m running out of the building, I felt like, ‘I’m good now.’ I don’t know if I needed it, because you know, my last match was in the Boneyard and there was nobody there—cinematic. It was like a moment of clarity; I’m okay now.

“And it just—I had no clue, but I just knew once it was done, I was like, ‘You’re good, man. It’s time to flip the page and go to the next chapter.’ So, yeah, it was such a cool weekend all the way around. To finish up and have closure to the wrestling part of my career was such a great feeling. It was amazing, an amazing feeling, because I don’t have that pressure anymore.”

“It’s been difficult the last couple of years, especially at Mania or even at a regular premium live event. I would leave before the matches because I would get to the point where I felt like I needed to be out there. But being out there this weekend, and to have such a great storyline with someone like The Rock on that stage at WrestleMania, in front of a live crowd like the one in Philadelphia—it was an incredible experience.” (H/T: RingSideNews)
