Shawn Michaels eventually won the match, but the ending was very strange, still some fans believe Vince McMahon screwed Bret Hart. It is also rumoured that Bret Hart punched Vince McMahon after the match.
Vince Russo recently was in The Wrestling Outlaws show, where he reflected the Shawn Michael and Vince McMahon’ backstage incident.
