Booker T recently on his Hall Of Fame podcast talked about WWE, AEW, Tony Khan, John Cena, Christian Cage and more.
Booker T on Tony Khan taking shots at John Cena and Undertaker
“I try not to dig at Tony Khan or anything like that, just because he’s trying to run business. But at the same time I got to take dig at this last comment he made about NXT rating. He said this was the first time that John Cena and Undertaker appeared in front of less than a million people of WWE.”
“The thing is he’s got Edge and Christian over there, he’s got all those guys, they never performed in front of 600 thousand. So when you says stuff like that you might wanna think about it before you say stuff like that. Edge was at the main event of the show and they pulled 609K.”
“Tony Khan got hell of a product, he’s got a hell of a thing going. But I really think, just like WCW, they focused on WWE. They tried to counterprogram every Monday Night, what they were doing. I really think WCW thought themselves right out of the War, because they were thinking about winning and beating WWE when they had a hell of a product already.”
“WCW had a hell of a product, they had a hell of a blue print. What Eric Bischoff went out and start signing every guy that was out there, I thought that was a bad blue print, the guys who were in the roster, just like in AEW that we didn’t even know was in the roster. I just saw couple of guys let go by AEW, I didn’t know who they were. There are lots of guys on the roster that is just on the roster.”
