CM Punk and Jack Perry were reportedly involved in a backstage altercation at AEW All In London 2023. CM Punk was fired from AEW after that altercation, and Jack Perry was suspended from AEW.
CM Punk returned to WWE after his release. Jack Perry recently made his return to wrestling at NJPW’s Battle In The Valley. He was seen tearing AEW contract.
Bully Ray recently on Busted Open Radio talked about Jack Perry’s NJPW appearance. Bully Ray thinks Jack Perry could “catch the lightning in a bottle” and become the top heel of AEW.
“The jury is still out with me as to why they decided to have him show up in New Japan and do this, I’m sure there’s a plan. I’m not making a judgment call based on just one thing that I saw.”
“Can he be hated? He ripped up a contract, ripping up a contract is very symbolic about how he feels about AEW right now, but you can’t just rip up a contract and suddenly it’s null and void; he still has a contract with AEW.” (H/T: WrestlingInc)
