Undertaker on The Rock’s early days in WWE: “Even when I thought he sucked, he was always motivated.”

Dwayne The Rock Johnson is one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. He is one of very few wrestlers who were able to make successful transition from WWE to Hollywood.

The Rock will be appearing on next 3 consecutive episode of WWE SmackDown. It is rumoured that The Rock and Roman Reigns would wrestle Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes at WWE WrestleMania 40.

Undertaker recently on his Six Feet Under podcast talked about The Rock’s early days in WWE. Undertaker says The Rock was always motivated.

“I remember him [debuting in Madison Square Garden] and he had that funny color thing on … I was like, ‘This kid isn’t gonna make it,'”

“I thought him being a legacy would give him a couple of years that he probably wasn’t gonna deserve. He is the American dream. He wanted to play football, that fell through, sometimes when that happens, people cave and they never rebound … Even when I thought he sucked, he was always motivated.”

“I wish more people had that … There’s a lot of guys that are very cookie-cutter. They’re looking at the formula that what they think is gonna lead them to success and they’re bringing nothing new to the table. They’re staying in the box,” (H/T: WrestlingInc)
