Everything was going fine for CM Punk until last year’s AEW All Out PPV, it was reported that CM Punk was involved in a backstage brawl with The Elite. AEW did not provide any statement on the reported backstage brawl, it was rumoured that he was suspended from AEW but other rumours said he was dealing with some injury and will need some time to recover.
CM Punk is expected to make his return during AEW’s new show Collision which is reportedly set to premier on June 17. Fightful Select is reporting that CM Punk is pitching for match against Samoa Joe in his return match. It is not yet known whether it will be a long feud or one-off match.
