by Solo Sikoa ambushed Matt Riddle on last week’s Raw, on the following week SmackDown WWE told that Riddle will be out of action for 5 to 6 weeks. There were various kind of speculation on why Riddle was written off, it seems like Riddle could be out of Royal Rumble as well.
Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam.net reported that according to his sources Riddle was suspended due failed drug test, he also noted that his match against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam was postponed due to failed drug test.
“I was able to confirm that the reason that WWE wrote Riddle of TV is because he has failed another drug test and will be sent to rehab. The belief going around is that he has already entered treatment, or will be going in soon as most programs run for 30 days and he would need to be finished in time for his return in six weeks.”
Haynes noted that WWE no longer tests for marijuana, Haynes didn’t gave any update on what caused failed test.
