The Bloodline was arguably one of the strongest faction in WWE. They included Sami Zayn into the faction, ever since then The Bloodline started to cripple. Sami Zayn turned on The Bloodline and joined his old friend, Kevin Owens. The Usos eventually defended their tag titles against Sami and Kevin at WrestleMania 39, it was a very hard fought match, but at the end Kevin and Sami Zayn dethroned The Usos.
After The Usos lost the title, Roman Reigns treated them differently. That led to The Usos vs Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa at MITB. It was believed that Roman would be victorious again but for everyone’s surprise Jey Uso pinned him.
Jey Uso again challenged Roman Reigns for a singles match as he had pinned Roman Reigns in a tag team match. Roman accepted the match, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso faced each other at SummerSlam, Jey was very close to winning the match but Jimmy pulls him out of the ring and attacks him, which helped Roman Reigns to retain the title.
Jey Uso on the following week’ SmackDown wanted an explanation on why Jimmy turned on him, Jimmy said he attacked him because he loves him and also he doesn’t want Jey to become a bad guy like Roman Reigns. Jey Uso was not happy with the answer, Roman Reigsn says nobody cares about The Usos. Jey was furious hearing Roman, so he hits a superkick to Roman, and called Jey to comeback to the ring. Jimmy came running to hug Jey but Jey hit superkick to Jimmy. Jey was no angry at The Bloodline, so he says done with SmackDown and WWE.
Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Roman Reigns is not advertised for Payback, he also notes that WWE did not book Jey vs Jimmy at Payback because WWE wants the match to happen at a bigger show.
Reigns will not be on that show and we do know that Jimmy vs. Jey Uso is being held off for more build time and likely a bigger show.
