Britt Baker: “I’m really thankful that we got to work with CM Punk.”

CM Punk made his AEW debut in Aug 2021, his return was widely celebrated among the fans. It was believed that CM Punk would have a phenomenal run in AEW, and he would also help the young talents in AEW.

CM Punk was having a good time in AEW until AEW All Out 2022. CM Punk reportedly involved in a backstage altercation with The Elites. CM Punk recently during AEW All In London 2023 reportedly involved in an altercation with Jack Perry, which ultimately resulted in Punk getting fired by AEW.

Britt Baker recently was on Maggie and Perloff podcast, where she talked about CM Punk. Britt Baker feels CM Punk would still be a part of AEW Story.

“CM Punk coming back to wrestling is one of the most historical things in All Elite Wrestling history and it always will be. You can’t take that out of the wrestling books.”

“I’m really thankful that we got to work with CM Punk. I’ve learned some stuff from him, he was always really helpful and willing to work with younger talent. It didn’t work out, it wasn’t a fit, but that’s still always going to be part of the AEW story. It’s just that chapter is closed for right now.”

“I think everyone wishes him well, I would hope to think he wishes AEW well too. It just didn’t work out but at the end of the day, how cool is it that CM Punk was in wrestling again for AEW? And got to wrestle in Chicago again too of all places.” (H/T: F4Wonline.com)
