by Gunther defended his IC Title against Chad Gable at last episode of WWE RAW. It was a very brutal match, Gunther was days away from surpassing Honky Tonk Man’s record, so there was lot at stake on this match. Chad Gable brought his family to WWE RAW.
Gunther and Chad Gable ambushed each other mercilessly. Fans at some point believed Chad Gable would put an to Gunther’s IC Title reign, but Gunther eventually won the match and retains the Intercontinental Title.
Cody Rhodes recently was on The Dale Jr. Download podcast, where he commented on Chad vs Gunther’s match. Cody Rhodes says they both received standing ovation backstage after their match at WWE RAW.
“If you get a standing ovation in Gorilla, you’ve made it. Last night, Chad Gable and GUNTHER had this amazing main event, and they came back and there’s nothing we can do but clap or that piece of business.
