Gunther and Brock Lesnar had a staredown at Royal Rumble 2023. There were rumours that Brock vs Gunther might happen at WrestleMania 39 but WWE had some other plans. Brock Lesnar’s last couple of feuds have been lacklustre, so WWE might be planning Brock Lesnar to ambush Omos at WrestleMania 39 and regain his momentum.
Gunther recently was in Cheap Heat podcast where he talked about his interest in facing Brock Lesnar.
“The obvious ones, Cody I mentioned and obviously Brock is the one that has to happen at some point. I guess I made him my personal biggest obstacle… I think that moment we had in the Rumble was great, because that was all I needed out of it; real life confirmation that the audience is up for that, that they want to see it.”(H/T: Sportskeeda)
