Top AEW Star’s contract reportedly expiring soon.

Andrade El Idolo is one of the prominent star in AEW. He has had many great matches in AEW. Andrade previously was working with WWE. He was released from WWE in March 2021.

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that Andrade’s AEW contract is expiring soon, he is returning to CMLL. Meltzer also notes if he decides to go WWE, he can’t wrestle at CMLL. According to Meltzer’s sources Andrade hasn’t decided yet whether to re-sign with AEW or sign with WWE. He would wrestle at CMLL just incase if he joins WWE, he wouldn’t be able to wrestle at CMLL.

“He’s going back to CMLL, not sure exactly what week but probably relatively soon. On Friday night’s Arena Mexico show they did a tease of him going back. He had talked to AAA about going back there, and decided to go to CMLL.

“I think he just wanted to do it because that’s where he started. Because there’s no real money, even though CMLL’s drawing big crowds, there’s no real money being paid by CMLL. And Andrade actually charges a lot for his appearances in Mexico, so I think it’s just something that he wants to do.

“And his deal is coming up relatively soon unless it’s extended or something because of time off for injuries or whatever, but he thinks that his deal’s up pretty soon. So he wanted to go back (to CMLL) in case he ends up going to WWE.

“He’s not made a decision on what he’s doing next, he’s not signed a new deal. But if he does go to WWE, he knows he can’t go back to Arena Mexico. (His AEW deal is up) he believes relatively soon. My impression is that it’s up relatively soon.” (H/T: WrestleTalk)
