Gunther recently was gave an interview to WrestlingNews.co, where he commented on why he despised watching WWE.
“When I grew up, as a wrestler not when I was a kid, but when I was wrestling and diving in deep and trying to get better and stuff. I don’t know; I kind of despised WWE at that point because I didn’t like watching it.
“I was focused on I want to be a wrestler, and I want to be…yeah. I want to focus on that athleticism, and everything around it was too much for my personal taste in that time,” (H/T: Sportskeeda)
Gunther is set to defend his WWE Intercontinental Title against The Miz at WWE Survivor Series 2024. The Miz is a former WWE Intercontinental Champion, he has produced many great matches and segments during his IC Title reign.
