Roman Reigns arguably the top superstar in WWE right now. Roman Reigns was not scheduled in last week’s Hell In A Cell pay-per view, Roman Reigns holds both Raw & Smackdown title usually Raw, Smackdown or both titles would be defended in a PLE’s. So Roman Reigns missing HIAC caused no major title match on HIAC.
As per news report from Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated noted that Roman Reigns opponents are not changed but but he is not scheduled for a match in Money In The Bank.
The expected slate of opponents for Reigns has not changed, but he currently is no longer scheduled to work Money in the Bank. Riddle called out Reigns this week on Raw, and Orton is a bona-fide star always ready to step into a main event opportunity. McIntyre has steadily been building momentum, which is important as we approach the summer.
Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio notes that Riddle vs Roman might not happen at all or if it happens than it would be in WWE tv not in Money In The Bank.
“If he wrestles Riddle, it’ll be on TV, it won’t be on pay-per-view. At least that’s the plan right now. The plan is still Orton for July 30 SummerSlam. Obviously they were building up the Riddle and Reigns match on Monday, so I’m presuming they’re gonna do it, but I was told it would not be pay-per-view match if they do it, and it’s not 100% that they will.”
WWE changed MITB venue from Allegiant Stadium to MGM Grand Garden Arena. As it was a huge stadium, low ticket sales and it goes head to head against UFC international Fight week. Roman Reigns was advertised for Money In The Bank when it was to be held in Allegiant Stadium, but when it got shifted to MGM, new poster was released in which Roman Reigns was removed.
Cody Rhodes condition after his HIAC is not very good, He is the poster boy of MITB, If he was to get surgery it would be highly unlikely to see him in MITB. Cody Rhodes match in HIAC was one of the best HIAC match in WWE history, But no Roman, Randy, Brock. WWE will get into deep trouble if Cody misses MITB
