“He’s Not Gonna Be Here Long” Undertaker’s thought on The Rock after his debut

Undertaker and The Rock are two of the most liked wrestlers in the whole of pro wrestling. This two wrestler played a major role for WWE to become a Global Brand. Undertaker and The Rock has fan following all over the globe.

Dwayne Johnson made his debut under the ring name of Rocky Maivia, fans hated him mercilessly. He worked hard on rebranding himself, then he changed his complete persona to become The Rock. If he had not changed his character from Rocky Maivia to The Rock, we would not have been able to witness the utmost potential of Dwayne Johnson.

Undertaker in a interview with Gary Vaynerchuk, recalls seeing Rocky Maivia wrestle for the first time in MSG.

“He came into Madison Square Garden, and they’d given him the name of Rocky Maivia. Oh my gosh, it was awful.

“I mean, they handcuffed him right out of the get go, right? I remember watching him, and the Garden [fans], they’re merciless if they don’t like what you’re doing. And man, they just lit him up.”

I had no clue to how charismatic he was. I was like, ‘Such a shame, he’s not gonna be here long. ’Once he got to The Nation of Domination, it had completely flipped.

“By the time he was at the end of his run with them, I was like, ‘He’s not gonna be here long.’ You could just tell that he was destined [to move on to better things].”(H/T: RingSideNews)
