Teddy Long: “Shinsuke is a great wrestler but I just don’t see him being championship material.”

Teddy Long recently was on The Wrestling Time Machine podcast, where he talked about Becky Lynch, Trish Stratus, Shinsuke Nakamura and more.

“I just don’t see it, don’t get me wrong. Shinsuke is a great wrestler but I just don’t see him being championship material. You know, this is just my feeling about it. When you put that belt on somebody, there as to be a lot of charisma, there has to be lot of excitement. And he has some of that but, like I said I could be wrong, but I don’t see him putting the title on him.”

Shinsuke and Seth Rollins main evented Payback. Seth Rollins eventually won the match but after Payback went off air Shinsuke Nakamura brutally attacked Seth Rollins. On following week RAW, Seth Rollins challenged Shinsuke Nakamura for a rematch but Shinsuke said ‘NO’.
